Our bulkhead was completely taken out and what remains are a few posts. 2. Two trees damaged our bulkhead and approximately 601/o of our dock area. 3. Because of the bulkhead damage and trees falling, "major erosion" has taken place. The erosion is not only undermining the remaining dock section, but is working it's way up to other tree's (root stock) and removing what vegetation remains. Extent Of Repairs and Replacements: 1. We need to immediately replenish and stabilize the soil that has eroded By placing a batter board against the remaining bulkhead posts, we will be able to put back soil temporarily. 2. Once the soil is replaced, we will need to drive new posts about 1 foot outside the old bulkhead and install a new PVC bulkhead The new bulkhead will be 4 feet high by about 90 feet long. 3. Dock repairs will include new posts, bracing and walk boards for approx. 150 sq.ft. 4. Another section of dock will have to be straightened as it was pushed by the fallen tree. 5. Once the dock repairs are complete, the remaining steps will have to be reattached as access to the docks. 6. Once the work is complete, the bank area will be replanted with vegetation for soil stabilization. ;. a
