The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . In our opinion, structures of this length should not be erected on the Sound. Allowing construction of a dock of this length would set a disturbing precedent. CAMA should take responsibility for preserving the natural beauty of the Sound. We hope that CAMA will do all in its power to maintain the pristine natural environment. We understand now that we should not sign the waiver form. We did return (by fax) a signed form to Larry Arnold which included our objection to the proposal. See the enclosed form. The first form we received was deceiving, as it did not include instructions about the procedure for objecting to the proposal. Thank you for your help with this matter.
