Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

build a bulkhead/riprap wall on Lot#56 in Sandy Point. Attached are the signed
notification lettfrs to my adjacent neighbors plus a drawing of the project.

located at Lot 56, Sandy Point Drive on the Neuse River, in Merrithon Township,
Carteret County, N.C.
He has described to me as shown below, the development he is proposing at that location,
and I have no objections to his proposal.

Construct a bulkhead along the length of our property and place the existing granite

i understand from Steve Lane of CAMA that the Home Owner's Association of Sandy Point is now
required to approve all beach hardening projects prior to CAMA issuing their permit. This appears to
be a change from their previous policy where HONARC approval was the last step in the process.
Below is the description of my riprap project along with a diagram. I have already received the signed
approval of both my adjacent neighbors (Pitney/Bressi) using the adjacent riprapian property owner
statement forms.
Project Description:
Repair, widen and increase the height of our current riprap wall that spans the beach on our property.
