Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Mr. Lane,
My wife and I would like to make some improvements to our property that would
require permits managed by your office. I have enclosed documents from each
neighbor agreeing with the work to be undertaken. Also included are drawings of
the two projects:
1) Erosion control. We would like to place an additional 100 feet of riprap
to stop the erosion occurring on part of our property pacing on the Bay
River.
2) Building a dock. We want to place a dock along the side of Rice's
Creek off the Bay River to support a maximum of two (2) boats.
We understand you will need to make a site visit to approve these requests. We
can be contacted at 252-745-4385 or through email at Bob(a)pinelink.orq to
establish a meeting time. We have a marine construction company selected for
the work and want to accomplish the addition of the riprap at the earliest possible
date to help protect the shoreline in this coming hurricane season.
