But, I ask for your organizations assistance. We live in Emerald Isle on Bogue Sound. I have attached a picture of the damage we sustained during hurricane Ophelia. As you can see this will require more effort than just replacing a seawall. Our most urgent concern is a safety issue. There is a shear 20 foot drop off where sand has been removed by wave action. We have yellow police tape blocking off the entire area but it is an extreme safety hazard. It also represents an extreme liability for us should anyone cross the tape and fall over the edge We ask for someone in your organization to please come by and discuss with us what we can or cannot do and what forms we need to fill out. And, also to suggest or recommend possible solutions. We live at 1202 Timber Trail in Emerald Isle. Timber Trail is on the sound between 11 th and 13th Streets. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Any assistance or information you can give us is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Richard Brauns 1202 Timber Trail Emerald Isle, NC 252-354-2942 M.
