Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Re: Lot 33, Sandy Point Subdivision, Shoreline Stabilization, Robert and Carol Geer homeowners
Dear Mr. Lane,
I am seeking a General Permit for construction of a Granite Shoreline Stabilization on Lot 33, Sandy
Point Subdivision. You and I walked the property several months ago. Facing the Pamlico Sound,
the lot to the left (West, Rahilly property) has already been stabilized. I plan to peel back
approximately 10' of that rock, tie into the existing fabric, construct the shoreline and replace the
Rahilly fabric and rock, tying the two walls together.
On the right side (East, Fuller Property), I will install a return so as to not terminate the stabilization at
a flush edge.
I have enclosed a check for $100.00, plus signed original Riparian Rights forms from the adjacent
property owners, Rahilly and Fuller.
Please advise me as to when we might start. I plan to begin positioning the rock this week.
