Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Attached is General Permit #C-40373 to install a 4' x70' dock with a 15' x 15' "T" head in
Carteret County adjacent to Bogue Sound at 205 Sea Trace Lane, Newport, NC.
In order to validate this permit, please sign all three (3) copies as indicated. Retain the white
copy for your files and return the signed yellow and pink copies to us in the enclosed, self-
addressed envelope. If the signed permit copies are not returned to this office before the initiation
of development, you will be working without authorization and will be subject to a Notice of
Violation and subsequent civil penalties.

(FOR A PIERIMOORING PILINGSIBOATLIFT/BOATHOUSE)
I hereby certify that I own property adjacent to Kenneth D. and Shelia C Link
property located at 205 Sea Trace Lane; Newport, NC 28570 on Bogue Sound, in Carteret
County, North Carolina.
They have described to me, as shown on the attached document, the development they are
proposing at the locations and, I have no objection to their proposal. I understand that a pier
must be set back a minimum distance of fifteen feet (15') from my area of riparian access unless
waived by me. I do not wish to waive the setback requirement.
The description of the pier/dock is listed here. The drawing for the proposed dock/pier is
attached. Kenneth D. and Shelia C. Link propose to construct a pier extending approximately
eighty five (85) feet from their property on Sea Trace Lane into the area directly behind their
home into Bogue Sound as shown on the attached drawing. The pier will be approximately forty
eight (48) inches wide with a platform on the end fifteen (15) feet by fifteen (15) feet. The
platform will be at least forty-two (42) feet from the adjacent property line on each side. The
entire structure will be approximately three hundred and twenty five (325) feet from the
Intracoastal Waterway. (The nearest point to the ICW)
