This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I, Pauline Thomas, am the owner of the property immediately East and adjacent to the
property owned by Treve and Peggy Lumsden. Mr Lumsden has explained to me his plans to place
rip rap at the former shore line and to fill in behind it with rock, sand and top soil to repair the
damage done to his lot by Hurricane Floyd. I have no objection to this proposed work.

To whom it may concern:
We are the owners of the lot immediately adjacent to and west of the property owned by
Treve and Peggy Lumsden. Our address is 201 Rudolph Drive, Beaufort, NC 28516. We have
been informed that the Lumsden want to restore the portion of their property facing the Newport
River by installing a rip rap along the waterfront and placing fill material behind that. We
understand that they are required to obtain a CAMA permit for this work and inform the adjoining
property owners. We have no objection to the proposed work and restoration..
