This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

depth of -6' NWL in Craven County within Plantation Canal adjacent to 206 / 208 Outrigger Road off
Plantation Drive in the town of River Bend.
In order to validate this permit, please sign all three (3) copies as indicated. Retain the white copy for
your files and return the yellow and pink signed copies to us in the enclosed, self-addressed envelope.

T-nis permit will allow excavation within existing, canals, channels, basins and ditches in estuarine. and public trust
waters for the purpose of mains: ining previous water depths and creating new boat basins from non -wetland areas that
will be used for private, non-com-ritmN activities. This general permit is being d:veiop:d according to the proc:dures
ouaincd in Subchapter 7J .1100, and will apply to the estuarine waters and public trust waters areas of environmcntal
COMM.

(a) The applicant must contact the Division of Coastal Management and complete anLapplica�io-,, fo nt rea�sunapproval for development_ Applicants shall provide that name and address, the site locatid trc di nensioas of the
project area.
(b) Th: applicant must pr ovide:
(l) confirmation that a written statement has begin obtained signed by the adjacent riparian property owners
indicatin; that they have no objecdons to the proposed work; or
(2) conrl=don that the adjacent riparirst property ownt:rs have been notified by cerdficd mail of the proposed
work. Such notice should instruct adjacent property owners to provide any eomrn^nts on the proposed
dtsvelopm-nt in wridnt, for consid:ration by permitting officials to th- Division of Coastal Management
wiNn ten days of receipt of the notice, and, indicate that no response will b: interprctad as no objecdon.
DCM staff will review all co.n=nts and det!:rrrdne, based on their relevant- to the potential impacts of the
proposed project, if the proposed project can be approved by a G-neral PC.-ML If DCN1 staff Gnus that the
comm=nts are worthy of more in-depth review, the applicant will bs notified that he must submit an
aopIication for a major development permit.
(c) No work shall b:ain until an onsite rr--cting is held with the applicant and a Division of Coastal Manascm:nt
represcntad vc to insp=ct and mark th- proposed area of excavation and spoil disposal. Written authorization to proceed
with the proposed development can be issued during this site visit. All excavadon must b: completed within 90 days
of the date. of permit issuance, or the general authorization expires.

make periodic inspections at any time necessary to ensure that the activity bang p:rformcd und:r authority of this
general pemit is in accordance with the terms and conditions press ibed herein.

that the proposed activity will adversely affect adjacent property.
(c) This permit will trot be applicable to proposed construction where the Dcpa."trnent has determined, based on an
initial review of the application, that notice and review pursuant to G.S. 113A-1 19 is necessary because that are
unresolved questions eonccming the proposed activity's impact on adjoining prope.rti_s or on water quality, air quality;
coastal wetlands; cultural or historic sites; wildlife; frsh:ries resources; or public trust rizhts.
