Dear Mr. and Mrs. Jones:
We received your letter of February 7, 2001, and the enclosures proposing improvement
to your property, Lots 18 & 19, Bell Point Subdivision. Following our telephone
conversation on Sunday, February 11, we received a corrected drawing of the proposed
development.
When we purchased Lot 20 at Bell Point, the entire subdivision was totally undeveloped.
We selected our lot because of the unobstructed view of Little Pasture Creek and the Bay
River from the position on the lot where we envisioned the construction of a house.
The location of the existing dock has minimal impact on our lot; however, we feel that
the construction of the proposed boatlift on the Lot 20 side of your dock will diminish our
view and property value. Construction of the proposed boatlift on the other side of the
dock (Lot 18 side) appears to be less obstructive.
We have no objection to the construction of the rip -rap along the shorelines of Lots 18 &
19, but do object to the current proposed construction of the boatlift and request that you
reconsider its location.
