and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

The aforementioned permit in Carteret County has been modified twice and this
correspondence is to serve as a clarification of the modifications. The original permit was
issued on 12/28/00 for a 197'x4' with a 10'x16' "L", a 5'x4' platform and a 13'x13' boatlift
on property owned by Charles E. Green (50' lot at 133 Sea Trace Lane).
The first modification was issued on 12/29/00 to extend the pier an additional
68'which would have no part of the pier more than 300' away from the existing bulkhead.
The pier was serving three parties along Sea Trace and the individuals desired to have more
platform than was allowed with one individual 50' lot. The second modification was issued
as a joint pier to Green and Spada (2-50' lots) with proper signatures from the adjacent
riparian corridor owner west of Spada. Also included in the GP packet was a disclaimer
signed by Spada with the understanding that the permit is being issued as a joint pier and any
additional accesses would require a major permit. The second modification (1/17/01)
eliminated the 5'x4' platform on the east side and proposed a 5'x8' platform on the west side
of the pier. The modification also proposed a 3'x20' catwalk associated with the uncovered
boatlift and 2 mooring pilings within Spada's riparian corridor associated with the joint pier
in Green's riparian corridor.
