This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I am applying for a permit to dredge my boat slip to a mean depth of six feet. The slip
has filled up as a result of the silt brought in by hurricanes Bertha, Fran and Floyd. It
has made it impossible for me to use my boat lift which the water level drops only
slightly.
The dredging would restore the condition of the boat slip as it was before the hurricanes
hit.
Attached is a copy of the surveyor's drawing of the area as well as a rendition prepared
by me which shows where the work would be done. The purpose would be to go from
the boat slip to the river channel which I estimate to be about ten feet from the end of the
boat slip. I intend to contract with Row Boat Company for the work. As you know,
they are the contractors for the Town of River Bend for its canal dredging work.
