Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available information and belief, certifythat this project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. Rumke 192 West Back Creek Road Beaufort, NC 28516 Lati Rumke (spouse) and myself are the current owners of the above property located on Back Creek, it is our intent to repair the existing dock on the property. CAMA has required us to send each of you a copy the attached form before we begin any repairs. We have included an envelope for you to return the form to us. It is our plan to use the existing dock footprint for our repairs, but it is also our intent to raise the existing height by 2' to 3'. With the new height it will be necessary to add a ramp on the land side ofthe dock to allow passage loft new height (see the attached drawing). The ramp witt add about 16' to the overall dock length. The current dock is 5' wide and the "L" on the water end is 8' wide, If you have any concerns or questions please call us (252 728 5731). We will use the existing dock footprint for our repairs, but it is also our intent to raise the existing heigM by 2' to 31. Ninth the new height it will be tocesssry to add a nip on the land side of the clock to allow passage to fire new height (see the atwhed drawing).
