Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Attached is General Permit #C-36709 to install rip rap in Carteret Cotinty adjacent to the Core
Sound at 826 Seashore Drive, Atlantic.
In order to validate this permit, please sign all three (3) copies as indicated. Retain the white
copy for your files and return to us the signed yellow and pink copies along with a check made
payable to DENR for $100.00 in the enclosed, self-addressed envelope. If the signed permit
copies are not returned to this office before the initiation of development, you will be working
without authorization and will be subject to a Notice of Violation and subsequent civil penalties.

home) at 826 Seashore Drive, Atlantic, Carteret County North Carolina. We ask for the
issuance of a CAMA general permit approving the plan. Enclosed are the consent forms

Dear Mr and Mrs. Mason,
It was nice to talk to you on the phone the other dayregarding our lot,
the Cooper Mason property next to your home in Atlantic. By minor permit
we are cleaning debris, undergrowth and removing the plastic pipe in the
water. Because the house was termite infested it needed removal with every
effort not to impact significant trees. By general permit we seek to place rip
rap upon the shore line above high water and backfill behind with some dirt
to smooth the transition. We also would construct a pier no more than 175'
in length that is 5 feet wide it would be about 10 feet off of the Coe property
line at roughly the location of the remnants of the old pier. The L at the end
would be no more than 10 x 25 feet and provide for two boat -slips with three
pilings for bow ropes, We ask for your approval and consent. I thank you for
your interest in removing fences and unappealing divides between our
homes. Please see the attached drawing and if it is acceptable please return
this form by self addressed envelope enclosed.. We look forward to meeting
