Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Crossing is to the East of the Existing
Railroad Crossing
The City of New Bern is making plans to install a new underwater conduit/cable line
across the Trent River. This new underwater power line, once installed, will take the place of the
existing overhead, wood pole supported power line. Once the new line is a operational, the
existing overhead line will be removed.
Please accept this as the City's application for a CAMA permit for this work.

This is to acknowledge that the North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR) is an
adjacent property owner and have reviewed the plans as presented in your letter of
February 21, 2003 and revised July 8, 2003 for the proposed project of installing a
new underground cable and conduit system across the Trent River. Further, it is
understood that the existing overhead power line where it crosses the Trent River
will be removed after the underground system is complete.
Through our engineering review of this proposed installation, it has been
determined that the underground cable will not enter NCRR right-of-way and the
North Carolina Railroad Company has no objections to this project as proposed.
