Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I appreciate your time in looking at the proposed pier for my lot on Fosters Bay, Swansboro. I have
tried to place it where it will be the least obtrusive to everyone concerned In my decision I
considered the view from my house as well as the view from the lots adjacent to me. I also made sure
at I would notbe blocking anyone else from placing a pier on his or her lot in the future. It's my
understanding that the adjacent property owners have to sign off on the pier if it is within 15 feet of
their property line. Hopefully we can work together so that we can each have our own piers when we
prefer.
If you look at the enclosed map you can see that there is a very clear and direct view from your lot to
the main charnel by the placement of my house_ If I in*vcd the pier from where I currently have it
placed it would be in front and to the left of my house thereby being in the line of sight from my
house and your house when looking at the main channel. I would prefer to keep the pier as proposed.
Please review this information as soon as possible as time is of the essenec to my construction
schedule.
