Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

On Thursday May 16, 2002 the Cedar Point Board of Adjustment reviewed a
variance request, number 02-05, requesting permission to construct a dock on. your
property at 103 Magens Court_ The property in question is vacant and your request
centered around the construction of a dock/pier structure on the property. The Board of
Adjustment, after having a PUBLIC HEARING to review the request, voted unanimously
to approve your variance request and allow the construction of a dock/pier structure on
the property prior to establishing a permitted use as defined within the Town of Cedar
Point Zoning Ordinance.
This letter is being sent to authorize you to begin the process of obtaining all
necessary permits including, but not limited to, a CAMA permit, Zoning permit, a Health
Department permit issued by the Carteret County Health Department, and a Building
Permit for the purposes of constructing the dock/pier structure on the property. Please
bear in mind that the approval of the variance does not automatically entitle you to begin
Construction and that you are still required to adhere to all applicable CAMA regulations,
Town of Cedar Point Zoning regulations, any applicable Carteret County .Health
Department regulations, and North Carolina State Building Code requirements in
constructing the dock/pier structure.
