The Board of Adjustment, after having a PUBLIC HEARING to review the request, voted unanimously to approve your variance request and allow the construction of a dock/pier structure on the property prior to establishing a permitted use as defined within the Town of Cedar Point Zoning Ordinance. This letter is being sent to authorize you to begin the process of obtaining all necessary permits including, but not limited to, a CAMA permit, Zoning permit, a Health Department permit issued by the Carteret County Health Department, and a Building Permit for the purposes of constructing the dock/pier structure on the property. Please bear in mind that the approval of the variance does not automatically entitle you to begin Construction and that you are still required to adhere to all applicable CAMA regulations, Town of Cedar Point Zoning regulations, any applicable Carteret County .Health Department regulations, and North Carolina State Building Code requirements in constructing the dock/pier structure.
