Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

This letter concerns the request that Dr. and Mrs. Stetka, our neighbors, will be proposing
for a dock and walkway in front of their lot on Lennoxville Point in Beaufort. We met
with their builder a week ago to look at the plans. Our concern is that the length of this
dock will block the navigation of the channel between the marsh and the sandbar. We
use this channel ourselves, along with other boaters that we observe on a regular basis.
At night, there are often 2 to 3 boats floundering- using this channel.
Mrs. Stetka called after we met with the builder to say that she is sending him a new set
of plans for the dock and walkway. She assures us that they do not want to block off the
navigation of this channel.
We are also very concerned about the height of the walkway and the dock, as to not block
the views of the water for either neighbor.
