This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

property owner objecting to a request from Ms. Dons Hudnall of Mulbem• Hill Subdivision. Lot 37.
Chowan County, located along the Albemarle Sound to place riprap rock along this shoreline.
Dennis W. Haw -thorn of the Division of Coastai Management staff was -ecentiv onstte and nas
reviewed Ms. Hudnall's proposal to construct riprap shoreline stabilization. Mr. Hawthorn noted
that an erosion escarpment exists onstte in the location where Ms. Hudnall wishes to place rock
stabilization.
Mr. Hawthorn reviewed all aspects of this proposai for consistency with tiCAC. T1_ A.-
-H. I 100. Mr. Hawthorn has thorou_hiv reviewed your letter stating .hat you wish to withhoid
concurrence with this proposal until you are abie to determine the effects that this stabilization
structure will have on your lot. This review has found the proposed deveiopment to be consistent
with the above referenced rules.
The Division of Coastal Management has given your objections to this proposai care: ii
consideration and has determined that the proposed project is consistent with the appropriate rules
and regulations and that all pre -requisite requirements have been satisfied. In this regard. the
Division issued General Permit #23461A for the proposed development on March 6. 2000 (cone
attached).
