ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Mr. Chesner:
This correspondence is in reference to your objection to a proposed bulkhead project by
Mr. Manfred Hiob, an adjacent riparian property owner of yours. The proposed project site is
located at 901 Grenada Court, adjacent to the Spring Creek lake/canal system, in the
Community of Fairfield Harbour, Craven County. The proposed project involves the
installation of 50' of bulkhead along a 2' replacement alignment.
The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management has given your objections careful
consideration and has determined that the project is consistent with the appropriate regulations
of the Division. Consequently, the Division issued CAMA General Permit #24367-C to Mr.
Hiob on December 2, 1999.
If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of
the Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources
within 20 days of the permit decision. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please
