Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that [)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Thank you for your proposal of August 24, 2006 to install approximately 80 feet
of seawall at our cottage in Atlantic Beach. I accept your proposal, and as requested, I
have enclosed my check made payable to Blue Water Marine Construction, Inc. in the
amount of $5,109.22. This represents the cost of materials as outlined in your proposal.
Please stay in touch as you begin the work, and I would appreciate receiving any advice
that you might have for backfilling the seawall.
I also enclose an Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement executed by Willis
Smith and Lee Smith, owners of the vacant lot immediately to the east of our cottage.
Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to working with you on our
seawall project.
