Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that [)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Cecil & Judy:
Unfortunately, it appears that a good part of our existing bulkhead is failing, and Chuck
Bissette of T.D. Eure Construction has recommended replacing it. Unfortunately, this will
necessitate replacing the existing dock as well. The new dock will essentially occupy the footprint
of the old, although I hope I can elevate it a little bit more, as our, water levels seem to be rising.
Chuck tells he will not need to remove or replace the existing boat lift. The approximate 15-
20 foot stretch of bulkhead running east from our property line with Jan Norris is in good condition
and will not be replaced.
As required by the CAMA regulations, I am enclosing an adjoining property owner's consent
form, which I will ask you to sign and return to me in the enclosed self-addressed, stamped envelope.
You will see that I have attempted in a very inartistic fashion to include a drawing of the proposed
reconstruction. Chuck tells me that a sealed engineer's schematic is required in the process, and I
will show you a copy when it is done.
