We need to restore the leading edge of this dune so it will be there as a buffer for the next storm. We are requesting a permit to allow us to restore our primary frontal ocean sand dune damaged by last night's storm. Our bluff behind the frontal dune is now vulnerable to damage by future storms. We need to restore a section 400 feet long and 10 feet deep with a vertical height of about 10 feet using a bulldozer. About 1/3 of the volume of sand pushed up after Fran is still with us. We need to shore this remaining dune up with the new sand. Attached is a diagram to show the concept of the work and the Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statements.
