This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Division Drive Fiber Networking Project F-)i%!EcI(. OF
COASTAL MAINAGEMEN
Project Narrative
The County proposes to install an aerial fiber cable from the City and
County Administrative buildings to the New Hanover County Division Drive
Maintenance complex in order to network City and County offices. The
project will begin on Fourth Street near Chestnut and follow Fourth Street to
Castle Hayne Road to Division Drive terminating at the County Maintenance
complex.
The aerial cable will be supported by the existing CP&-L, and BellSouth
utility poles along the route. Two additional poles are planned to be placed in
the highway right-of-way on both banks of Smith Creek, as shown on the
plans. A third pole will be installed on the east side of Castle Hayne Road to
replace a pole previously broken off.
Agreements ,mth CP&-L, and BellSouth are in process and will be
forwarded to the District when received and prior to any work.
By the nature of aerial installation, an erosion control permit is not
required for this project. The land disturbed during construction will be less
than one acre and with the exception of the two new poles, no land disturbing
is planned.
Note: This project does not require a State Erosion Control Permit,
as it does not disturb an area greater than 1 acre.
