Alligood 1022 East Maple Avenue Sterling, Virginia 20164 Dear Mr. Alligood: NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES DIVISION OF COAST ANAGEMENT 28 July 1998 JUL 3 0 1998 This letter is in reference to your 17 July 1998 correspondence to me objecting to your neighbor's (Mrs. Ethel Kendrick) proposal to construct a pier and boat house ROGER N. SCHECTER onsite her property off SR 13 51 at Swan Point on the Pamlico River near Washington DIRECTOR in Beaufort County, North Carolina. The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management has given your objection to the aforementioned project careful consideration and has determined that the project is consistent with the appropriate rules and regulations of the Division. Consequently, the Division issued General Permit No. 019016-B on 28 July 1998 to Mrs. Ethel Kendrick to construct a pier and boat house. Please note on the enclosed copy of the permit that Mrs. Kendrick did comply with part of your wishes by moving the structure to the center of the site and placing the boat house behind the platform on the left side of the proposed pier. If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources within 20 days of the permit decision.
