This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I am applying for a dock permit for 198 Pelican Drive in the Broad Creek area. Since I
am currently in the process of purchasing this property, I am doing so in the name of the
current owner, William Evans. You have received or should shortly be receiving signed
approvals from my neighbors, as well as a document from William Evans granting me
permission to seek a permit in his name. The plans for the dock are included in the
neighbor approvals. Note that the satellite photo shows what the proposed dock at 198
will look like — there is not currently a dock in place on that property.
I have included a $100 check for the dock approval fee. Please let me know if there is
anything else I need.

property as the marshland allows. The dock will have a boat lift at the end. Neither
