Any, violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . We have experienced significant erosion with the recent storms and a wave breaker wall is both the CAMA recommended and the only legal alternative to arrest and hopefully prevent future erosion. The break will be a wall of vertical boards about 20 feet from the shoreline (average water level), projecting up to 18 inches above the water surface. The boards will be separated by appropriately '/z inch to permit water back flow. Every 100 feet there will be a 5 foot break in the wall. Our wall will be approximately 100 feet long, from one property edge to the other. To provide the maximum protection, we will need to wall to extend to the theoretical property lines in the water. This will necessitate a waiver of the 15 foot set back requirements for structures from the property lines. Thus, I am asking you to grant that waiver by checking and signing accordingly below.
