This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .

On March 5, 2005 I received the attached hand written and undated letter, copy attached,
from B & C Land Co. regarding docks they plan to build in Cabin Creek. I am enclosing
a copy of the survey they provided, which indicates the location of their proposed docks.
I am strongly opposed to docks being placed in Cabin Creek at the proposed sites for the
following reasons:
1. The creek is very narrow with a very narrow channel and the docks will be
placed in a position that will block the channel completely.
2. Because of the narrow and shallow opening in the creek at that point, backwash
will soon close any boat access.
3. I believe this area of the creek is significant for shrimp reproduction for Bay
River and should not be compromised with channel blocking docks.

I recently received the attached letter from Mr. Larry Cushmon, together with the
drawing of a proposed dock he plans to build on lot # 18 in Cabin Creek. As stated in my
letter to you, dated March 14, 2005 copy attached, I strongly oppose construction of
the dock Mr. Cushmon has proposed.

Dear N C Coastal Management:
On March 5, 2005 I received the attached hand written and undated letter, copy attached,
from B & C Land Co. regarding docks they plan to build in Cabin Creek. I am enclosing
a copy of the survey they provided, which indicates the location of their proposed docks.
I am strongly opposed to docks being placed in Cabin Creek at the proposed sites for the
following reasons:
1. The creek is very narrow with a very narrow channel and the docks will be
placed in a position that will block the channel completely.
2. Because of the narrow and shallow opening in the creek at that point, backwash
will soon close any boat access.
3. I believe this area of the creek is significant for shrimp reproduction for Bay
River and should not be compromised with channel blocking docks.
