Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

NARRATIVE FOR MODIFICATION OF
PROPOSED PROJECT
A CAMA approval for the installation of a mooring buoy for the reasons listed below:
- Mooring is to be used for storms only, ie: hurricanes, bad storm surges,
dangerously high water levels.
- The storm surge gets rough at this location and the water rises to a level
to where the property owner cannot have his boat underneath the existing
boathouse due to the boat hitting the top of the roof.
- The property owner does not have a trailer for this boat.
- The property owner does not have a vehicle to pull a trailer if he did have
one.
DESCRIPTION & PLACEMENT OF
MOORING BUOY
The mooring will be approximately 45' off the shoreline. The total radius of the boat,
chain, & mooring is 39'. The boat will swing approx. 12' from the existing dock, 60'
from the adjacent property owner, and 15' from shoreline. The mooring will be a
20,0001b. Series Helix Mooring with a 15" mooring ball that has a blue stripe and
112" galvanized chain. The mooring will be screwed approx. 12' underground. The
mooring will be in approx. 3 1/2"-4' of water. *See the attached drawings (The
drawings are not to scale.)
