Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

SPEC SHEET FOR YAUPON DR PIPE & CATCH BASIN REPLACEMENT
1. Underground utilizes need to -be located. Phone, cable & water run under east side
shoulder of Yaupon Dr (bulkhead side).
2. Pond needs to be pumped down for replacement of catch basin. & pipe.
3. Remove old catch basin & existing 24" concrete tile drain pipe. Care needs to be
taken to prevent damage to existing bulkhead when removing 24"pipe.
4. Install new catch basin & 24" pipe. 55j-,-, 2 �- O � P' `' e
5. Pipe to be utilized shall be 24"1IDPE corrugated Plastic smooth core pipe or DOT
approved aluminum storm drain pipe.
6. Catch basin design is attached.
7. Gate valve needs to be constructed & installed on spill way of catch basin to
control water flow from pond.
8. Backfill & Compaction of soil around pipe shall be in compliance with NC DOT
specifications.
9. Install new asphalt patch on roadway in accordance with NC DOT specifications.
10. Rip Rap to be installed on pond wall around new catch basin area to prevent soil
erosion from storm water run off-

Yaupon Dr. Drain Pipe & Catch Basin Replacement
1. Drain Pond
2. Demo/ Remove old catch basin & 24" concrete drain tile (yaupon dr to be saw cut 36" wide where excavation needs to
take place).
3. Install new pre cast catch basin per drawing. Catch basin cover will have a grate installed to handle storm water run off
from yaupon dr.
4. Install new 24" HDPE plastic smooth core pipe from catch basin to existing bulkhead.
S. Bacld"ill & compact excavation ditch per DOT requirements.
6. Regrade both shoulders of Yaupon Dr where excavation took place.
7. Install Rip Rap stone on pond bank, around catch basin area to prevent soil erosion.
8. Install 4" asphalt patch on Yaupon Dr per DOT requirements.
9. Install gate & gate valve on catch basin spill way to control water flow.
Town of Cape Carteret responsible for obtaining all necessary permits (CAMA) to complete project.
Atlantic Grading & Construction responsible for locating all underground utilities
