This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

I called Scott Jones yesterday and we have set up an inspection time for 13 September 99 at 1:30pm to examine the
damage done by Hurricane Dennis requiring me to extend an existing jetty (CAMA Permit 017273) "around the
corner" of the Northwest point of my property. In order to expedite the approval process, as I am losing land while 1
write this, I have attached, via fax, the drawings you folks normally require to move forward. This is basically a 110
foot extension of rip rap, using bigger rocks I suspect given its location, to protect the point. It, like the approved 18
foot jetty before it, cannot be seen by any neighbors and thus has no negative impacts to anybody, Accordingly, I
would really appreciate, after you and Scott "bless this", of not having to waste time getting Larry Adams and Bill
Cannon to approve something they can't see. I need to get moving on this as I will be in California from the 15`h to the
20 of September and would like to have this completed before 1 leave. I have a FEMA claims adjuster coming this
afternoon to assess the damage and would like to start getting contractor bids ASAP as mother nature isn't going to
cooperate. Also be advised that on the point are the utility poles which provide electricity and telephone service to the
Jones Island Club where Larry is a member so I suspect the folks across the bay would like to continue to receive
power and phone service and are "rooting for me."
Sorry for the hurry up offense approach guys, but as they say, "time and tide wait for no man".
