This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Dear Mr. and Ms. Johnson, and Ms. Howe
Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Charles (Chuck) Egerton, and my wife Emily and
I have purchased lot #34 in Emerald landing. We are attempting to clear, grade, and build a house and pier
on this piece of property. I have been informed, by James Taylor at Town Hall that I require the signed
approval as a Cama exemption by the neighbors on either side in order to proceed. I will enclose a diagram
in order to give you a clear idea of what we plan on doing along with the following written description. If
you could please sign at the bottom of this page that our plans meet your approval, and return it I would
greatly appreciate it.
The property is to be graded and filled so that there will be a six to ten foot slope down from the
road then a gentle slope all the way to the water. The majority of trees in the fifteen foot set backs are to
remain. The entire property will be seeded and landscaped so that there will be an attractive front and rear
yard. The house location and dock can be found on the attached diagram. The dock will be set in twenty
feet from the left property line and extend one hundred sixty feet into the water. It will have a two hundred
square foot "L" on the end and an attached boatlift.
