Re : General Permit No. 02191 ON Town of Edenton Park
Dear Ms. Knighton .-
This letter is in reference to your CAMA General Permit which was issued on June 21, 1999.
This permit authorized the construction and/or placement of a bulkhead along the shoreline of
property located at 120 Water Street, Edenton within the waters of the Albemarle Sound in
Chowan County.
On September 24, 1999 a site visit was conducted at this site to determine and confirm that vour
project was completed in accordance with the Specific Conditions concerning bulkhead shoreline
stabilization structures as referenced in Subchapter 7H .1100 of the North Carolina
Administrative Code and the Coastal Area Management Act. During this inspection, it became
apparent that you have not completed the work proposed and previously authorized under the
above referenced General Permit. As a courtesy, I wish to remind you that CAMA Permit
021910A expired on September 19, 1999. Since the remaining work falls within the permit
jurisdictional areas defined as Estuarine Waters and/or Public Trust Area, as described in
Subchapter 7H .0206 and .0207 respectively, of the North Carolina Administrative Code, a permit
will be required from this Division prior to the completion of this project as originally approved in
CAMA. General Permit 021910A.
Than you for your time and cooperation in regard to this / these matter(s). If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me at (252) 264-3901.
Sincerely,
Dennis W. Hawthorn
