I vas recently the recipient of some Certified Mail (attached)
from the Coastal management Office in Wilmington NC informing me that
A permit was being sought by Joe & Diane Rhue to construct a pier
with Boat lift at the Residence located at 131 Front Street in
Swansboro NC, and further that I had 10 days to record any objections
and that no response was interpreted as no objection. I was also
queried as to waiving the 15 foot setback requirement.
I Contacted the Wilmington Office and was informed that Your
Office at Morehead would be the agency handling the permit request.
I am Mending this letter to verify that I DO NOT Waive the 15 toot
setback requirement, and also to register that I OPP05E any
construction adjacent to my property that will impede the use of my
pier. In a simple drawing provided in the letter sent to me by
Mr_Rhue He indicates that his design is to build a pier that i$ gp
foot long (701x4' + 20'x8')to reach deep water, and to also
construct a boat lift. If he does hie pier will extend approximately
50 foot beyond mine and will be no more than 20 feet to the left of
mine at the narrowest part of purposed pier. This construction will
prevent My family from Fishing from my pier.
