The proposed project to be located and constructed as described
above is hereby certified as exempt from the CAMA permit re-
quirement pursuant to 15 NCAC 7K .0203. This exemption to
CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or, Local authorization.

This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for 90 days from the date of issuance: Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary
to continue this certification.

Any person who proceeds with a development without the con-
sent of a CAMA official under the mistaken assumption that the
development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA if there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the
development.
The applicant certifies by signing this exemption that (1) the ap-
plicant has read and will abide by the conditions of this exemp-
tion, and (2) a written statement has been obtained from adjacent
landowners certifying that they have no objections to the
proposed work.

Dear Mr. Pigott:
Upon receipt of the permit you recently issued for pier
replacement on the above lot, Mr. Petteway called me in regard to
the 64 foot length, indicating that this length was incorrect.
In re -reviewing my files I realized that I had given you the
square footage of the finger pier (4' x 161) rather than the
length of the 6 foot pier. The correct length of the 6 foot pier
is 110 feet. I have suggested that Mr. Petteway line through the
64 foot dimension, correct with the proper 110 foot dimension and
initial this location. He will also be returning the original of
this letter to you with the signed permit to verify this
correction.
Please advise if you have any questions regarding the above.

I hereby certify that I own property adjacent to The John P.
Petteway Company's property located at Lot 8, Section I, Edgewater
Heights on White Oak River, Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, in
9wanshoro, North Carolina.
He has described to me, as shown on the attached drawing, the
development. he is proposing at that location, and, 1 have no
Objections to his proposal. I understand that a portion of the
uncovered boat lift is within is, of my area of riparian access and
waive that portion of the setback,
