above is hereby certified as exempt from the CAMA permit re-
quirement pursuant to 15 NCAC 7K .0203. This exemption to
CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local authorization.

development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA if there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the
development.
The applicant certifies by signing this exemption that (1) the ap- a-

Res Permit for Replacement. of Damaged Pier on the Norris Property
adjoining Broad Creek - Pearson Circle, Newport, N.C.
Please be advised that I have no objection to replacement of the
pier in its previous location. I realize that it will be closer
than the i5' required clearance to my adjoining property.
Mr. Morris has agreed to furnish me copies of the proposed
alignment of the new pier, and it is my understanding that it will
be basically as it was before the hurricane.
I also understand that all new construction will comply with the
latest veralons of all applicable codes and regulations, with the
exception of the 15' setback requirement.
sincerely,
Nick Kisley
