drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

The applicant is requesting renewal of his pen -nit for modifications to their community dock. The
applicant states that the financial constraints of repairing the pier after hurricanes Bertha and Fran have
delayed the completion of the boatlift installations. I have no objection to the request.

The referenced permit was issued to Pete DeVita to build our Yacht Club pier and docks, and an
extension granted on January 4, 1996 to allow modifications of the dock design to allow installation of boat
lifts. However, due to the damage and financial hardship caused by hurricanes Bertha and Fran, the
planned modifications and boat lifts have not been completed. The purpose of this letter is to request
extension of the permit for two more years to allow continuing work on the lifts to completion. As
discussed attached is a $50.00 check for the permit renewal.
