I This permit is subject to compliance with this application, sit¢
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any;
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Dear Mr. McLauchlan:
This is in response to your letter of July 19, 1996 concerning a
mooring buoy you plan to establish in Browns Creek.
The Coast Guard requires that mooring buoys be painted white with
a horizontal blue band centered midway between the top of the
buoy and the waterline. Ownership markings should be displayed
on the buoy to expedite notification in the event it drifts away.
We have no objections to the establishment of the buoy as
indicated in your letter provided it does not interefere with the
flow of marine traffic. Please let us know when the mooring buoy
has been established so that this information may be published in
the Local Notice to Mariners.

Dear Mr. Tyndall:
Enclosed please find materials we would like to submit in support of our
application for a mooring permit. The mooring will be located on our riparian
property on Brown's Creek (Pamlico County) at 180 Fork Point West, Oriental,
NC 28571.
Enclosed are:
• Signatures of no objection from the adjacent riparian owners.
• A letter from the Coast Guard indicating compliance
• $50 permit application fee
Upon issuance of the permit, we plan to have the mooring installed by Foley &
Foley Marine Contractors, New Bern NC.
I am also enclosing a copy of the mooring specifications as provided by the
vendor, Dor-Mor.
Could you please review the enclosed materials and advise me if there are any
other requirements? We would like to obtain the permit as soon as possible as
Foley & Foley will be working in our area in early January.
I can be reached during the day at 513-871-8666 (Cincinnati, OH).

Here is a revised drawing for our mooring permit I've talked with the mooring company and
shortened the chain. We also plan to move the mooring between the pilings which cuts down
the "buffer" significantly. I think this plan should taring us into compliance_ Staci and I will be in
