Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowners).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

It was nice to spears with you today. I was glad to dear that you,
property weathered the storm. without &--iy r:?ajor damage_ I~ortunately, we
came out alright too.
We did have some erosion of our yard on tlhe 15``' Street side as well
as or the side bordering your property. I am in the process of haying this
dainage repaired. My plats is to extend our bulk -head southward (toward the
ocean) 38 feet, uaxallel to, and bordering the line that adioins my property
wad the 15t" Street right of way-. On the side that borders your property, my
plan is to extend the bulkhead southward (toward the ocean) 12 feet, parallel
to our shared line. The part of my bulkhead that was previously parallel to
our shared lire, before 1t washed away, was 6 feet. My proposal is to
increase this to 12 feet. Please note that these additions will not be on Vaur
properly
The Coastal Area Management Agency requires that I obtain the
approval of both my neighbors; yourself and the Town of Emerald Isle (the
owners of 15t" Street) before I can ;hake any chailges or add.tmils to "lay
bulkhead even though the improvements are entirely on my property.
I am enclosing a drawing of the proposed. improvements. To give your
approval, you may either sign aad return the form or you can simply bold the
form for 10 days.
