Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
Iandowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Steven:
Enclosed is the Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification for the Ziegler's and
the receipt from the post office for our attempt to contact our other neighbor, Jack Meyer.
He is an elderly man and his property is up for sale, so I guess he has no time for us. I
also tried to call him and left a message twice.
I have enclosed a check for $100 for our permit to put in 2 groins. I will tell you,
though, we are only planning on putting in one at this time, the one closest to the
Zeigler's property. The rip rap we already have just needs some refreshing. Mr.
Chadwick would like to do both the Zeigler's and ours at the same time, so we are hoping
to get our permit soon. The Ziegler's have already been in contact with you, I understand.
Please let me know if there is something else we must do. If everything is in order,
please issue our permit as soon as possible.
