violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.

excavation at a man-made basin off Hawkins Creek and Elm Street
channel to AIWW, White Oak River, Swansboro, Onslow County.

return the yellow and pink signed copies to us in the enclosed,
self-addressed envelope.

As per your telephone instructions last month, I am enclosing
herewith the consent documents etc. which will be required for
a permit to do the maintenance dredging on our boat channel
at Swansboro. Four (4) copies of the sketch showing the location
of the proposed spoil site and other details are also enclosed.
There is approximately 1030 if of boat channel, twenty feet wide
extending from the Inter -coastal waterway to our property but
all of this does not need deepening. There is approximately
300 if next to the waterway which will not require any work. The
next 530 if should be lowered an average of 11 feet and the
remaining 200 if at the upper end should be lowered an average of
21 feet. According to my calculations, there will be approximately
960 cy of excavation required for the project.
Mr. Burwell Jackson has given us permission to deposit the spoil
from the dredge on his land located on Deer Island. He agreed to
an area encompassing approximately 11,400 square feet. By
constructing dikes around this area to a height of three feet,
we would have ample storage space for the proposed 960 cubic yards
of spoil.
The original NC Department of Natural Resources & Community
Development permit to excavate the channel, number 113-75, was
issued March 1, 1979. The Corps of Engineers permit number was
SAWKS75-67-03-163.
