This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local authorization. This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Following expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to continue this certification. Schecter Director This is with reference to the pier you propose to have built on lot 36 Mir -Mar Mobile home park in a man-made basin off the AIWW in Surf City, Pender County, North Carolina. As was explained to you, the Coastal Area Management Act (LAMA) does not authorize piers or docks across marsh wider than 6' under the exemption issued to you (copy attached).
