The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission proposes to renovate the public boating
access area located on Front Street Extension in the Town of Beaufort. Specifically, we request
authorization to replace the courtesy docks located adjacent to the launch ramps. The
support piers for existing docks are in very poor condition due to material degradation.
Please review the enclosed drawings to interpret the permit category required for project

AMENDMENT TO LEASE
COUNTY OF CARTERET
THIS AMENDMENT TO LEASE, made and entered into this the 22nd
day of March 1994, by and between the STATE OF
NORTH CAROLINA, hereinafter referred to as Lessee, and TOWN OF
BEAUFORT, hereinafter referred to Lessor;
W I T N E S S E T H:
THAT, WHEREAS, the parties hereto entered into a Lease
Agreement dated February 28, 1985, in the City of Raleigh, North
Carolina, County of Wake; and
WHEREAS, the Wildlife Resources Commission, has requested
and approved the execution of this amendment to said original
lease agreement for the purposes set forth herein; and
WHEREAS, the execution of this instrument for and on behalf
of the State of North Carolina was approved by the Council of
State at a meeting held in the City of Raleigh, North Carolina,
on the lst day of March, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have mutually agreed as herein
set forth; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and the
mutual covenants contained therein, the parties do agree and
enter into this amendment to said lease agreement between the
same parties dated February 28, 1985, as follows:
1. Beginning upon execution of this amendment:
The following action shall be taken:
In Paragraph #1, delete "terminate on Septem-
ber 30, 2003" and replace with "terminate
September 30, 2018".
2. All other terms and conditions of the original lease
agreement shall remain the same as is and in full force and
effect.
