drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

Re: Application for Mooring Permit (Joint with Ashley Moore)
Mr. Tyndall:
Due to an irregular shoreline and questionable riparian rights, Ashely Moore has asked
permission to place a "joint" mooring in Jones Gut adjacent to our property.
We have no objections to this proposal and hereby agree to be joint applicants. Should
Mr. Moore ever decide to sell his property, we would reserve the right to recind our
permission. If we can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to call.

Dear Mr. Tyndall,
Enclosed please find the information you requested in our October telephone conversation regarding a
freestanding mooring. (1) a dated plat (2) swing of boat arc, 90 feet (3) type of anchor (4) letters from
neighbors (5) boat length, 32 feet (6) boat registration, NC4197CF (7) float ball description and (8) chain
description.
In addition we are requesting a permit to construct a walkway. The walkway will be five feet in width and
extend two feet past the marsh edge into three feet of water depth. This is shown on the enclosed plat. A
sketch shows the construction method and materials to be used.

Dear Mr. Tyndall:
I have been notified by Ashley Moore, an adjoining property owner
in Back Creek Subdivision, Carteret Co., of his intent to place
a permanent freestanding mooring in Jone's Gut off of Back Creek.
As long as the mooring is constructed in the manner described by
the attached "Mooring Detail" drawing that he has provided, my wife
and I have no objection to the installation.
We also realize the determination of riparian rights in this area
is complicated due to the irregular shoreline and intersection of
Back Creek and Jone's Gut. We agree to waive the 15 foot setback
requirement and are also not opposed to a liberal interpretation
that would favor Mr. Moore.

This has been a difficult year for boat owners with the U.S.
East Coast and Gulf of Mexico Hurricanes - Erin, l~elix and
