This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

ADJACENT RIPARIAN PROPERTY OWNER STATEMENT
We hereby certify that we own property adjacent to Mable and
George Monteith property located at lots 31 & 32 Sea Gate Drive on
Atlantic I W, in Newport. N.C.
Monroe Johnson Construction contacted us on March 2, 1999 to
explain the work he has been contracted to complete on the waterside
area of lots 31 & 32 Sea Gate Drive.
The proposed work includes:
1. recover soil that has eroded into waterway
2. lay landscape cloth along area where retainer
materials will be placed
3. pull back sections of fallen concrete bulkhead
onto bank retainer area
4. add rip rap over the concrete
5. add landscape cloth & rip rap at cIrner f
lot 30 & 31 to eliminate erosion
