This certificate authorized the construction of a pier and platform along the shoreline of your property located at the end of Bass Landing Road in Chowan County within the waters of the Chowan River. On October 6, 1999 a site visit was conducted at this site to determine and confirm that your project was completed in accordance with the rules of the North Carolina Administrative Code and the Coastal Area Management Act concerning pier and platform construction. During this inspection, it was apparent that this structure has sustained some minor damage. As a courtesy, I wish to advise you that the repair and maintenance of this structure may be completed under the Maintenance and Repair Statutory exclusion and will require no additional authorization from this Division. Maintenance and repair activities of this nature are excluded from the definition of development and CAMA Permit requirements [NCGC Section 113A-103 (5)(b)(5)]. Than you for your time and cooperation in regard to complying with the rules of this Division. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (252) 264-3901. Sincerely. Dennis W.
