The proposed project to be located and constructed as described
above is hereby certified as exempt from the CAMA permit re-
quirement pursuant to 15 NCAC 7K .0203. This exemption to
CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local authorization.

This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary
to continue this certification.

Any person who proceeds with a development without the con-
sent of a CAMA official under the mistaken assumption that the
development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA if there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the
development.
The applicant certifies by signing this exemption that (1) the ap-
plicant has read and will abide by the conditions of this exemp-
tion, and (2) a written statement has been obtained from adjacent
landowners certifying that they have no objections to the
proposed work.

Road as requested in the permittee's application dated 6/30/88 including

This permit, issued on �/ DI-7 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Anv violation of these terms may subject -
v-permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
(1) The proposed pier addition will be constructed in accordance with the attached
project plans.
(2) The permittee shall prominently post and enforce a "no sewage discharge"
policy :for boats at the entrance and exit from the main -pier.
(3) This permit authorizes only the docks, piers and other structures and uses
located in or over the water that are expressly and specifically set forth
in the permit application. No other structures, whether floating or stationary,
may become a permanent- part of this pier system without permit modification.
No non -water dependent uses of structures may be conducted on, in, or over
public trust waters without permit modification.
(4) The offshore platform of the pier must be adequately marker with navigational
reflectors.
(6) The activit;- will be conducted in such -a manner as to prevent \significant
increases in turbidity outside the area of construction or construction -related
dischar e. (See attached sheet for Additional Conditions)
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee
or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the
issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work
initiation or continuance, as the case may be.
This permit must be accessible on -site to Dep::rtment
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification
not covered hereunder requires further Departmental
approval.
All work must cease when the permit expires on
December 31, 1991

No attempt will be made by permittee to prevent the full and free use,
by the public, of all nav;__.:1e waters at or adjacent to the authorized

The authorized structure and associated activity must not cause an unacceptable
interference with navigation.
(8)
The permittee -will maintain the authorized work in good condition in

conformance with theterms and conditions f o thispermit. The permittee
is not relieved of this requirement if he abandons the project without having
,the permit -:transferred to a tnird party.
NOTE:
No dredging was requested and none is -authorized by this permit. The
permittee is advised that since t!J s is a primary nursery area, future
:dredging is prohibited.
_- NOTE:
The permittee should contact the local health department regarding their
requirements for septic tank installations (as required under 10 NCAC
10A.1900 et. seq.). For information. concerning septic tank and other '
on -site waste disposal methods, contact the On -Site Sewage Program -at t
