imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be --

permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.

Dear Sir:
As the owner of property adjoining the referenced 3804 Butler Rd., New Bern
proposed "Bulkhead Extension", I do strongly object to it being allowed.
In the first place neither the extent nor nature of the expansion was revealed in any
way as required by the form I received nor was the notice sent Certified Mail as
required.
Further I object because my property has already sustained many thousands of dollars
damage as a result of the original bulkhead put in with your approval several years
age. I objected at that time, but you allowed it anyway even though Dr. Pilkey and
others agreed that without question it would cause damage to my property,
I estimate that since the original installation I have lost 30-40 feet off the front of the
property along with many valuable trees, therefore reducing the value a great deal.
I think my rights have been seriously damaged and I respectfully ask that the project
not be allowed to proceed. At least until some serious investigation and hearings be
conducted. Otherwise I expect to seek legal assistance and/or media help as needed.
