As a reminder to you, my father in the deed to you from his corporation reserved a 6 foot wide easement for pedestrian travel for purposes of access to the basin or creek adjacent to your property. This easement included the right to place docks or boats and other mooring areas in the riparian areas adjacent to the shoreline from Neptune Drive. I have now been granted all rights in the easement by deed recorded in Book 1083, Page 5, Carteret County Registry. My family and I have known you for many years and my consent to the issuance of a permit to construct the seawall is not a release or relinquishment of any rights under the easement. Likewise your construction of a seawall, docks, or piers within the riparian areas adjacent to the easement is not a waiver of my rights to use the docks, piers, or improvements or to force you or subsequent owners of the same to remove or relocate the docks, piers, or improvements at some time in the future.
