This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowners).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

ADJACENT RIPARIAN PROPERTY OWNER STATEMENT
(for a pier/uncovered boat lift)
I, Joe M. Markland, owner of the property at 245 Moonlight Drive, Moonlight Bay,
Atlantic Beach, NC, will waive the riparian setback conditions as proposed by
Steve Nunn at 247 Moonlight Drive, Moonlight Bay, Atlantic Beach, NC subject to
the following stipulations:
1. The proposed new seawall portion that runs between Mr. Nunn's property
(247 Moonlight Drive) and Mr. Markland's property (245 Moonlight Drive)
should be entirely on Mr. Nunn's property and should not encroach onto
Mr. Markland's property.
2. The proposed new seawall portion that runs between Mr. Nunn's property
and Mr. Markland's property should not exceed twelve (12) inches in
height on Mr. Markland's side of the new seawall.
3. The fence that is constructed as part of the proposed new seawall portion
that runs between Mr. Nunn's property and Mr. Markland's property should
be white in color and should match the style and composition of the fence
that runs between Arie's property (243 Moonlight Drive) and Mr.
Markland's property (245 Moonlight Drive).
